The Telaquana Trail

The Telaquana Trail is an historic route, not a trail in the modern sense. The route, which runs from Telaquana Lake to the outlet of the Kijik River into Lake Clark, is a traditional Dena'ina Athabascan corridor from Stony River/Mulchatna country to the Lake Clark area.

Lake Clark's Volcanoes

There are two active volcanoes in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, Mt. Iliamna and Mt. Redoubt. Both are continuously monitored by the Alaska Volcano Observatory. Iliamna last erupted in 1953, but Redoubt's most recent eruption was in 1989.

Climate

The weather in Lake Clark is unpredictable. In mid-summer, highs tend to be around 65 degrees and lows around 55 degrees. Rain, wind, and chilly temperatures are always a possibility.
